Coir Bedding for Pets

Made from compressed coconut husk fibre, this eco-friendly coir bedding provides a highly absorbent, biodegradable and natural substrate for reptiles, amphibians and insects. Its soft, breathable texture is ideal for encouraging natural burrowing, digging and nesting behaviours, while its natural resistance to odours helps maintain a fresher habitat. Coir is a renewable resource and a fantastic alternative to peat, containing no artificial chemicals or pesticides. Supplied as a compact briquette for easy storage, simply add warm water and it quickly expands to produce approximately 7–9 litres of bedding.

Instructions

Place briquette in a suitable container and add 3 litres of water. Allow to soak in water and then stir until light & fluffy.

If requiring a smaller amount - for every litre of material required, place 300ml of water in a suitable container then place briquette flat into the water. The briquette will soak up the water and the required amount of material can be easily broken off. Stir broken pieces until light & fluffy.

Store unused part in a polythene bag or similar (a plastic carrier bag is ideal) in a dry place until required.
